  • It is the standard fuel filter set for changing the filter in the HFCM and the one on top of the engine.
  • Be careful when removing the lower filter housing the first time. Use both a box end wrench on the nut and a strap wrench on the body the first time. Then grease the O-ring and you will be ok after that.
  • The micron of this filter is 30.Every 20-22k miles,these need to be changed.

    Changing frame rail filter:
    Remove sensor harness, and lossen filter housing with a 1 1/4" socket or 32mm or use a strap wrench.
    Highly recommend a strap wrench so you don't shear the plastic housing. Turn 3 TIMES then losses yellow
    drain valve and drain into suitable container. Remember to lube new o-ring and re install everything.

    Chasing engine filter:
    Remove the fuel line keepers on both lines and by pushing down the yellow tabs and the keeper will go down out of the way,
    the other fuel line will come off by squeezing both white tabs inward then remove. Loosen the 7mm nut and turn and lift the
    fuel filter and re install in reverse order.

    Prime filters by turning the key a few times before starting.
